Introducing Mr Val to the World...

Since my birthday falls on the 14th day of February, it’s no mystery how  I got my name.

“Born in Cross River state, this charming music sensation grew up and schooled in Cameroon where he was educated up to advanced level and even learnt to speak and write French. With musical influence from geniuses like R Kelly, Chris Brown and our very own Tuface Idibia and being one who is naturally drawn to telling stories through music, Valentine writes and composes melodies from his heart in English, French and Yoruba, making him the ultimate African artiste.

Since relocating to the motherland in 2006, he has made his raw passion for music a profession. Gifted with an amazing vocal texture and commanding stage presence, He was one of the 4 winners from Ibadan and a semi-finalist in the 1st season of the reality show, PEAK TALENT HAUNT. Since then he grown steadily and worked with several established artists in the Nigerian music industry.

In 2011, Mr Val got signed to Big Dreams Entertainment; a record label located in Lagos, Nigeria and has since recorded a number of singles under their management. Releasing his first single under the label titled “S’AYE TEMI” on 21st March 2012, a song which he recently recorded with a clear and inspiring message for everyone. He also recorded ‘The Xmas Song’, in collaboration with upcoming and fellow Big Dreams signed artist, AKAS. Currently working on music videos and shows lined up, Mr Val is definitely ready to stride in 2012”.

MY MUSIC:

If you love songs that tell sensible stories with the most melodious tunes ever, then Mr Val will not be a disappointment. His songs are such that you sing along to even though you've never heard them before. He writes simple songs about complex things like Life, Love and Family, in such ways that allow emotions connect as melodies soar. You could feel his passion and almost hear his heartbeat as you listen!
